Friends of Open Arms.... April 17, 2010 "Blood"
References to the “blood of Christ” always mean the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross. Paul, Peter, John and the author of Hebrews reference the blood of Christ.
Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.
Welcome Kathy Creedon, and pray with her to raise awareness for the overwhelming devastation of OxyContin.
Go to: As the sober home gets up and running, I thought the reading on “Self-Protection” was appropriate, because it reminds us of this:
RECOVERY IS NOT A BATTLE ANYONE WINS ALONE. WE HELP EACH OTHER TO THINK AND LIVE IN NEW WAYS. Alone, we are vulnerable to temptation; together, we form a shield of protection for one another.
“Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:25). We are to take our place in a fellowship of people that provides us with the mutual protection we need to stand firm in recovery.
Prayers this week that God will bring people to scholarship women to Open Arms who cannot pay; and for continued provisions and wisdom regarding it’s finances.
GOD never fails and never leaves.
See you next Saturday.
Continue to recover, Barbara…we really miss you. =AND=
